Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia

Indonesia’s tourism and creative economy minister H.E. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno has been in charge of the development of Indonesia’s five super-priority destinations, including Lake Toba and Borobudur Temple, as part of the government-backed “10 New Balis” project, since his appointment in December 2020.

Prior to that, Sandi was Jakarta’s deputy governor from October 2017 to September 2018, notably known for the city’s job creation social movement OK OCE. He also targeted to double Indonesia’s spice export to US$2 billion and open 4,000 restaurants serving Indonesian food across the globe by 2024, pushing for more partnerships with the Indonesian diaspora.
